DEAR STUDENTS AT THE CURNE

YOU NEED TO HAVE THIS INFORMATION

Since classes were canceled due to a strike On Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, it would be great if you got ready for the work we will do next class days.

IDI-243:  Read the play "Death Knocks" by Woody Allen and write a summary on it.
IDI-228:  Make sure you did all the exercises from the pamphlet that were assigned.  Also, make sure you have all the writing you have done in our composition class.  Whe I say "all the writing", I mean everything you came up with during and out of class.  Organize each piece of paper in a folder and hand it in next class.
FEM-129:  Prepare an oral presentation on THE AUDIO-LINGUAL METHOD (all the students).
IDI-244:  Make sure you did all the exercises from the pamphlet that were assigned. Also, study Chapter 19 on Christopher Columbus, and Chapter 20 on Halloween.
IDI-224:  Make sure you studied Units 3 and 4 very well and study Unit 5.
IDI-135:  Make sure you studied the Verb and the Adjective and study the Adverb.
FEM-327:  The exam was postponed for the following weekend.  For next weekend (Sat., Oct. 22), the class will be divided by two teams and each team will find out about a subject that will be assigned that day.

Thanks for the effort you allways make

FOUTH PUBLIC READING OF COMPOSITIONS AT THE CURNE, SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORIS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

EARLY IN DECEMBER, 2010, THE ENGLISH COMPOSITION CLASS READ THEIR ESSAYS IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE WHO SPEAKS THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.  KNOWLEDGE AND MUSIC WERE SHARED DURING THIS SPECIAL EVENT.

This is the scenery the presenters prepared for the IV PUBLIC READING OF COMPOSITIONS in the College Hall.

.
This is Professor Manuel Batista.  We have appointed him to share his great talent as our official Master of Ceremony.  His words were full of wisdom and fun.

Sonia Díaz, a lawyer and English teacher, reads her essay.  Guess what! She found out and wrote about prisoners in the Justice Palace in San Francisco de Macorís. No wonder, she really loves her first career, laws.

The audience enjoyed very important information about Duarte Park in San Francisco de Macorís delivered by José Nuñez.  This is the most important park in the city.

Students from the English Teaching career and other guests constituted the audience who shared that wonderful afternoon.

From left to right, José Stalin, Juan Burgos, Sonia Díaz, Mr. Encarnación, Renier Gil, Paulino Rodriguez, and José Nuñez were the writers who read their essays in the IV PUBLIC READING OF COMPOSITIONS.
